Custom Specific Driving Solutions - A Success Story since 1993
The COMTEC Antriebstechnik GmbH has been established from Pasquale and Erika Commatteo in Moers in 1993. Already at the first years of the company, the company was active Europe-wide in the distribution and project planning of driving solutions in the area of DC and three-phase technology, the control cabinet technology and the cooling and climate technology.
The company established itself and extended its product portfolio a few years later with explosion-proof electric motors, that are offered as distribution partner for Euromotori S.r.l.
The company developed the drive system COMTEC VDS, a vector controled three-phase-asynchronous drive system, which was successfully integrated into the control of calender roller, floor cleaning machines and much more.
Collaboration with companies in Southern Europe
The COMTEC Antriebstechnik GmbH expanded their business areas after a few years and itensified the collaboration with midsize northern Italian companies from the machine building industry. In the course of that, the product portfolio got extended by different fans and blowers.
Together wit italien partner companies, COMTEC Antriebstechnik GmbH developed among others electric compact trucks for the inner-city service. A bit later, the company continued on developing three- and four-wheeled electrical vehicles for handicapped people with a successful TüV (technical supervising association) certification and GS mark certification.
Development of a solar and Mez vehicle
At the end of the 90s, COMTEC Antriebstechnik GmbH worked together with several german companies on the development of the Meckmobil, a battery-powered solar vehicle with solar roof and solar garage. The COMTEC Antriebstechnik GmbH designed for the control of the drive a vector control for low battery voltage (24-96 V) for the application in three- and four-wheeled vehicles.
In the further collaboration with german partner companies, the Mezmobil and further vehicles has beend designed. COMTEC Antriebstechnik GmbH coordinated and planned the development and the production of the vehicle in Slovakia.
Business field expansion into the Asian market
At the same time, COMTEC Antriebstechnik GmbH expanded its business fields into the Asian market. While working with companies from Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and India, COMTEC Antriebstechnik GmbH developed drive solutions for e.g. concrete plants, cooling fan towers, agricultural machinery and provided support with commissioning and procurement of spare parts.
Focus on drive technology in systems engineering
At the beginning of the 2000s, COMTEC Antriebstechnik GmbH withdrew from the mobility sector and focused on the development and project planning of drive solutions in systems engineering. The company intensified the cooperation with the partners and expanded the product portfolio.
Hoist and linear drives, digital control systems and PLCs now complete the product portfolio.
